UX Audit

What isn’t working, and why

package-ux-audit-emanuel-jochum-zehetner

The UX Audit combines heuristic analysis with real user perspectives. I show you what isn’t working, why that is, and what should be addressed first. More systematic and deeper than a UX Quick Check, with a clear decision basis at the end.

Standard

€ 4,500

excl. VAT, up to 15 screens, 3 sessions

In-Depth

€ 6,200

excl. VAT, up to 30 screens, 5 sessions

Who is it for?

For product owners, UX leads and managing directors with products that are on the market but fall short of expectations. Especially when there is no internal agreement on what the problem actually is, and an outside assessment should end that discussion.

What you get

  • A clear picture of what the real problem is, not just how it feels.

  • A prioritisation: what has the biggest impact on conversion, retention, or satisfaction?

  • A document you can stand behind in redesign decisions and management conversations.

  • Real user perspectives, not assumptions, but moderated tests with actual users.

  • An impact-effort matrix: at a glance, you see what should be tackled first and what can wait.

What’s included

  • Heuristic evaluation with annotated screen flows

  • Qualitative user tests (3–5 participants)

  • Impact-effort matrix with prioritised findings

  • Audit report (PDF, 20–35 pages)

  • Presentation session with your team

Why work with me?

I’ve conducted UX audits for very different products: digital platforms (Roomle), websites of authorities (Linz City Administration), educational institutions (Campus Wien University of Applied Sciences), digital health apps (femSense), commercial renting (MyPlace SelfStorage).

I don’t evaluate against a checklist, but in context: who uses the product, under what conditions, towards what goal. The result is an assessment you can stand behind internally, not just a stack of screenshots.

Frequently asked

What’s the difference between Standard and In-Depth?
Standard covers up to 15 screens with 3 user tests. In-depth goes up to 30 screens, 5 tests, and delivers a deeper analysis with an additional journey perspective. Which fits, we discuss in our first conversation.
Do I need to recruit the users myself?
I can recruit or you provide people from your network. What matters is that they’re users who don’t know the product.
How long does a UX Audit take?
Standard: 1–2 weeks between briefing and presentaton. In-Depth: 2–3 weeks, depending on scope and availability of test participants. We’ll discuss your preferred timing in the Discovery Call.
Can the audit be done for internal tools too?
Yes. Internal tools – CRMs, dashboards, admin interfaces – often have the biggest usability problems because they were built for the team, not for the user. The audit methodology is the same; the evaluation context is different.

Well built, but not running smoothly?

If you need a solid foundation for redesign decisions, let’s use 30 minutes to figure out which audit depth is right for your product.
